McMullen Fiber Co. was started by a woman named Kate when she lived in a small town in New Mexico with no LYS. The local craft store just wasn’t cutting it, so she started experimenting with fibers and dyes. The shop originally started as the ultimate stash excuse – what’s better than being able to say, “Oh that’s not my yarn, that’s for the shop.” Now it has grown into Kate’s passion, and a way to ensure the kids have summer jobs waiting for them as they grow.

This base yarn is  luxurious. The cashmere makes it extra squishy and soft, and the nylon gives it extra strength. It feels amazing against your skin! You are advised to check your pattern’s yardage requirements first, but one whopping skein of this heavy lace weight yarn should be plenty for a pair of socks, maybe even enough for knee socks, or a shawl.
