When Knit Picks’ mills spin their yarns, a small amount is left over from each batch. Instead of wasting it, they work with their mills to create new limited-edition yarns, and Upcycle Alpaca Blend is one of them. It is a sport weight blend of alpaca, wool, and acrylic, and lends itself to sweaters, cowls, hats, and much more. It is soft enough for next-to-skin wear, but rugged enough to keep you warm all winter long. Upcycle is made with recycled fibers that vary in size, causing slight variations in yarn thickness from skein to skein. Knit Picks recommends swatching before starting a project.
